Early Handley-Page Victors were quite clam designs and looked like something Buck Rogers would be comfortable in.
Unsightly lumps and bumps grew on it as it worked to keep up with the times.

The Hampden and the Halifax, on the other hand, were never quite that clean, but did look pretty good.
However, my first HP love belongs to the O-series, courtesy Sierra/Dynamix’s Red Baron.

The B-52 is Best Bomber, but the three British “V” planes were simply gorgeous.

For being such a nutjob, Hughes sure made some pretty planes. I don’t think he was a very good pilot, though.
